Courtesy ofJOHANNESBURG - DA Federal Council Chairperson Helen Zille is not backing down from allegations that the Constitutional Court leaked information to the ANC that it would back them in the row over the candidate list extension.

Zille says she finds it suspect that the ANC withdrew its application to the electoral court just hours after submitting it.Zille first made these allegations on Twitter. "Anyone who has seen an order from the electoral court will know the ANC didn't stand a chance before the electoral court because of the two previous precedents of ruling out the participation of parties who didn't meet the deadline both in 2011 and in 2016," she said."No one has asked the question as to why the ANC suddenly withdrew its case hours after putting it before the electoral court.

"Obviously, I haven't got proof as to how they got the information that the ConCourt would allow a delay, but they must have had a pretty astute idea of that."
