“Sex and the City” creator Candace Bushnell is as excited as the rest of us that Kim Cattrall is coming back to reprise her iconic role as Samantha Jones on “SATC” spin-off “And Just Like That” — because, she says, “there was a piece missing” from the series.
“When I heard the news I was happy and surprised. The fans love Kim and I think it will be great for the show. There was a piece missing. She was a major part of that girlfriend circle,” she told Page Six. Cattrall, 66, had vowed that she wouldn’t reunite with the other stars of the HBO classic, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristen Davis, after appearing the second feature film in 2010.that the actress had filmed scenes as the sex-crazed publicist that are expected to appear as “cliffhanger” scenes at the end of the Max show’s second season.
“I think will be a great season,” Bushnell told us, “I’m happy that Kim is going to go on there. I think it’s probably the greatest thing for the show.
