Low on blood and heavy on blues, Blue Bloods will wrap its 14 seasons this December
Whatever blood has been coursing through the veins of CBS procedural Blue Bloods these last 15 years has run dry. Per Deadline, the series, which has run for more than 275 episodes, is definitely coming to an end this December. Well, until a streamer picks it up for another six episodes of “ Blue Bloods : Legacy.” CBS announced the last season in November 2023, much to the dismay of star Tom Selleck , the cast, and the show’s fans.
Hoping to stretch the show for one final year, the network aired the first 10 episodes of the season in February and will air in the remaining eight this fall. Unfortunately, during her speech at today’s upfronts, CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach said it was more important for CBS “to refresh the schedule,” presumably with a different police procedural about Catholic cops. With the authority of a Law & Order “clunk-clunk,” Reisenbach stood firm.
