Michael Stanley Cooper showed 'a high level of depravity' by storing the material, a prosecutor in the case tells the ACT Supreme Court.

Canberra man Michael Stanley Cooper has pleaded guilty to eight offences over the collection, storage and distribution of child abuse material.

Cooper also admitted to distributing some of the material on the peer-to-peer application Frost in 2019. Ms Hogan also argued the offences were not "isolated" or "otherwise out of character," given Cooper had previously been convicted of two child sex abuse offences in 2011.In the ACT Supreme Court today, Cooper's lawyers called psychologist Tabitha Frew.

"That difference in his strengths and his vulnerabilities does mean that controls would need to be put in place," she said.
