The Canadian dollar on Wednesday fell as much as 0.7% after the Bank of Canada, as expected, left interest rates unchanged, but abandoned its mild tightening bias and cut its outlook for growth. "In Canada, growth during the first half of 2019 is now expected to be slower than was anticipated in January," the central bank said in its policy statement. The BoC said it expects real GDP growth of 1.2% in 2019 and around 2% in 2020 and 2021.
