last year the company is eager to expand in the South and Southeast. Most of the U.S. Tim Hortons locations are in the Midwest and Northeast. “You have these big metro areas where population growth is expected to increase above the national average. So fundamentally, it’s a really good place for us to participate in that growth,” Henrich said. “And when you rank the cities that are most attractive, Houston and Dallas are way up top.”
Henrich didn’t say how many locations they plan to open in North Texas, but he said they aim to make their Dallas-area debut in 2023 or 2024. They are also looking to open in Austin and San Antonio, and in cities outside of the Dallas and Houston metros like Tyler and Beaumont, he said. Henrich added that the South and Southeast locations will be “the latest and greatest” in terms of design and menu. The menu is beverage-heavy with a mix of hot and cold coffees and refreshers, and the food is mostly of the breakfast variety like breakfast sandwiches, doughnuts and bagels.
