Cameron Diaz, after a decade-long hiatus, opens up about her experience away from acting and her decision to return to the big screen.
Cameron Diaz has revealed that the best years of her life were spent away from Hollywood , after deciding to prioritize family and personal pursuits over her acting career. While promoting her return to the big screen after a decade-long hiatus, the 52-year-old actress shared that stepping back from show business was the most fulfilling decision she ever made. 'I loved it. It was the best 10 years of my life,' Diaz said.
'I was just free to kind of be 'I'm a mom, I'm a wife, I'm living my life.''During her time away from acting, Diaz enjoyed raising her children, writing a book, and launching her own wine company. She stated that she initially received offers for acting roles but ultimately decided to decline them all, leading to a point where she was no longer approached.Diaz's return to acting is motivated by both a desire to embrace the privilege of starring in movies and a sense that it aligns with her family's needs. 'I just thought to myself ... if I don't engage that again and give that a chance and participate it and be grateful for it, I would be a fool,' she said. While Diaz acknowledges the possibility of another extended period in Hollywood, she remains uncertain about the future. 'This is maybe the beginning, maybe I'll tiptoe in. Maybe I'll go gung ho. I don't know,' she said. 'But it's here and I'm really grateful for it.
