After 10 years away from Hollywood, Cameron Diaz returns to the screen in 'Back in Action' alongside Jamie Foxx. Diaz reveals how a phone call from Foxx and the support of her husband convinced her to make a comeback.
Cameron Diaz revealed that she had no plans to return to acting after leaving Hollywood in 2014. Diaz spent the past decade focusing on her family and her own wine company, Avaline. She said she was content with her life away from the spotlight and hadn't considered returning to movies. However, a phone call from Jamie Foxx changed everything. Foxx pitched Diaz on a new action comedy that they could have a lot of fun making together.
Diaz admitted she couldn't say no to Foxx, especially since they had previously worked together on 'Annie' and 'Any Given Sunday.' \Diaz acknowledged that returning to acting after a ten-year break wasn't easy. She had been spending most of her time at home with her family, and she had to push herself to get back into the swing of things. Fortunately, her husband, Benji Madden, was very supportive. He encouraged her to pursue her acting career again and told her it was time for them to support her. \The film, 'Back in Action,' was initially delayed due to Foxx's health scare in 2023 but is now set to release on Netflix on January 17th. Diaz appeared on the red carpet with Foxx in Germany to promote the film just days before its release. She expressed her excitement about being back in Hollywood and working with Foxx again. Diaz said she was happy to be back in the spotlight after a decade away, and she was grateful for Foxx's support
