Moore–who played antagonist and former Charlie’s Angel Madison Lee–kicked off the conversation by revealing the quartet hadn’t hung out together since Liu received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame back in 2019. Barrymore then shifted gears to Moore’s recent accomplishments, introducing everyone on the call and saying, “Charlie’s Angels, here.

Liu chimed in, telling Moore, “This performance, you’ve always had it in you and in all of the work that you’ve done. There’s so much vulnerability in the strength that you are able to put on camera.”return feel very authentic. “You walked away. I wonder if I trusted your performance so much because I knew that you exercised a ‘take it or leave it’ in this industry,” she said, applauding Moore for being a “badass” that “walked away at the height of success.

Moore admitted that she felt like she “didn’t belong” and that “there didn’t seem to be a place for her” with the limited roles for women in Hollywood.“It’s more like I felt that feeling of, I’m not 20, I’m not 30, but I wasn’t yet what they perceived as a mother,” she continued, calling it a time that “felt, not dead, but flat.”

Unsure of where she fit in, Moore said she considered leaving acting completely. “There was a moment, I have to say, where I started to wonder, is this really what I should be doing? Maybe that part of my life is complete. Not even over, but complete,” she said. Luckily, a script for“Then I realized, if I’m questioning it, then I need to inject it with energy so that I know for sure,” she concluded.
