Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden announced the birth of their second child, a son named Cardinal, with a joint post on Instagram.

On Friday, the couple announced that they quietly welcomed a son, who they named Cardinal Madden, with a joint post on Instagram. "We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our son, Cardinal Madden❤️🙏He is awesome and we are all so happy he is here!" Diaz and Madden wrote alongside a drawing that read: "A little bird whispered to me.
"We are feeling so blessed and grateful 🍀Sending much love from our fam to yours 🙏❤️Best wishes and Good Afternoon!! 🤘⚡️," the couple concluded their note. Like Cardinal, Diaz and Madden surprised fans with the birth of their first child, 4-year-old daughter Raddix, whom they welcomed on December 30, 2019. And while they opted to keep Raddix's identity private over the years, that doesn't stop them from gushing about parenthood.in the mix, and of course Benji has written at least a dozen songs for her. So we are doing serious upbeat and often a cappella jams over here.
As for becoming a mom later in life, Diaz, who is 51 years old, has no regrets. “I wouldn't have been the mom that I am now had I chosen to do that at any other time in my life,” she previously told Sirius XM. “I feel for so many mothers who can’t, that have to go to work, you know, whatever they’re doing. I feel so much for them and for their children and for all of that, but it does really take a village.
