The state association has investigated Camden 's tuition arrangements with star non-resident players

But officials moved much more slowly when it came to collecting tuition from its star non-residents. Despite the district stating five out-of-town players were under contract to pay $1,500 each in annual tuition, only $500 had been paid by one parent as the district operated its $343 million budget with $314 million in state aid last winter. The average cost to educate pupils in the magnet schools was $22,346 for the school year.
