Camalig, Albay Mayor Carlos Baldo confirmed that the plane seen on Mayon Volcano was the Cessna that went missing on Saturday.
According to a Sunday evening GTV New Live report, Baldo said the plane was two kilometers from a forest ranger command post.The local government is coordinating with the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology given that Mayon was under an Alert Level 2.
Authorities are also continuing the investigation into the incident and the search-and-rescue operation.
