Newton could have time for a rock concert and a mosh pit because he’s not among the 113 quarterbacks on NFL rosters with the first full week of the preseason schedule starting on Thursday. But after a foot injury limited Newton to two games in the 2019 NFL season, Carolina cut the quarterback the following offseason even though he had a year remaining on his contract.
