Lots of people are in precarious financial situations as being under lockdown means they can’t go to work and earn in the same way.But for some professions, namely those online, the lockdown has resulted in an increase in work.In case you don’t know, cam girls are, usually, women who use webcams to interact with paying customers.Before the coronavirus lockdown, many users would pay to watch but didn’t have their own cameras on, so they could remain faceless viewers.
The sex workers have noticed many of their customers wanting face to face interaction amid the lockdown ‘It’s as if there is that extra connection of face to face, which is something that we are getting less of in our day to day life under quarantine. She adds that some of her customers have included key workers, who often chat to her about what they’re experiencing on the frontline.
