Rochester, N.Y. — A Canandaigua non-profit is raising money to help refugee families resettle in the area.

Called To Care Canandaigua holds a benefit concert, welcoming refugees with open arms at the Abilene Bar and Lounge on Sunday, November 5th 2023

Rochester, N.Y. — A Canandaigua non-profit is raising money to help refugee families resettle in the areaThe Adrianna Noon Band and Dead Metaphor Soiree played to raise funds to support group efforts to provide a network to families who have escaped violence and help them start a new life. Their mission is for personal for an RIT researcher who has been collaborating with a woman from Haiti in work to develop prosthetic limbs and she is hoping Called Ton Care will help bring the family to the U.S.

"Called To Care Canandaigua is an amazing group, they are a group of wonderful people who work to resettle refugees," said Jade Myers, research developer specialist. "So they help people find apartments, safe places to live, how they make the apartment special for people with different furnishes in there. Things like that get the kids set up with school language classes anything they need for their first few months in the U.S."Loading ...
