We all have a role to play in helping to protect the planet. On November 3, CNN's CallToEarth Day is raising awareness of environmental issues and highlighting the ocean conservation work of organizations and individuals around the world.
From Turkey to Nigeria, students around the globe are getting crafty for #CallToEarthDay with beautiful art projects that celebrate the wonder of the ocean.
Maafushi School on Kaafu Atoll in the Maldives is surrounded by water, and knows firsthand the importance of keeping the ocean clean. Students designed posters for a competition about saving endangered marine life such as sea turtles. In Kosovo, the Finnish International School is finding a creative use for recycled toilet rolls in its art projects.
At Private Alev High School in Turkey, students made a large artwork from plastic waste collected from their beach clean-up.In Ogun state, Nigeria, students are upcycling plastic bottle caps and cartons into wall murals of endangered sea life.
