The Post Fire in Los Angeles County, the state’s largest wildfire, had consumed more than 15,000 acres.
A wildfire burning in Sonoma County since Sunday was more than halfway contained as the sun rose Wednesday morning and did not expand from the previous 24 hours, fire officials said., according to the agency. According to Cal Fire, crews have secured control lines around the entire perimeter of the fire, and heavy mop-up work was taking place within that perimeter. Cal Fire spokesperson Will Powers said crews do not expect that fire to grow any more.The fire was the fourth-largest of eight in California that had burned at least 300 acres.
