Across the U.S., teachers who hosted on Airbnb made $98 million in 2021, according to a report from the company.

That report, titled "Burned Out, Priced Out," said that the need to work additional jobs to supplement a teacher's salary was one of the key factors pushing many of them to leave teaching altogether. A new report released Monday revealed 70% of educators within the Los Angeles Unified School District have seriously considered leaving the profession due to the material conditions within the district, according to United Teachers Los Angeles.
