Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, Long Beach Congressmember Robert Garcia and Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis to speak at DNC
Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris speaks at a campaign rally Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, in Romulus, Mich. at the United Center where the vice president is expected to thank delegates for their support and reintroduce herself and her platform to the nation.
Bass will deliver her remarks at about 3:45 p.m. Pacific Time and discuss her two decades of partnership with Harris as well as the historic nature of the vice president’s campaign, according to Bass’s office. Garcia also shares close ties with Harris who swore him in when he was elected mayor of Long Beach in 2014. Garcia endorsed Harris during her 2020 presidential campaign and recently joined second gentleman Doug Emhoff as part of theTim Walz makes his pitch to working class voters at AFSCME Convention in LA
