The Park Fire has grown to over 368,000 acres in less than a week since flames broke out in North California.
California's Park Fire has become the state's sixth-largest wildfire in history in less than a week since igniting.According to an update from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection , the blaze has grown to 368,256 acres as of Monday afternoon, and is affecting parts of Butte, Tehama, Shasta and Plumas counties.
The Butte County District Attorney's Office announced last week that 42-year-old Ronnie Stout II was arrested, accused of arson in connection to the Park Fire, which exploded overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Authorities say Stout pushed a car that was set on fire into a gully, igniting the fire.The blaze has grown rapidly, including more than doubling in size from Friday to Sunday.
