Authorities believe Brigette Benitez kidnapped her biological 16-month-old son in Los Angeles County.
Authorities sought the public's help Friday to find a woman and her 16-month-old son. Officials said she has been charged with kidnapping the child from his foster family in Los Angeles County and is possibly fleeing with him to Mexico."The FBI is seeking the whereabouts of Brigette Benitez and her biological child, Miguel Eduardo Zuniga Medina Jr.," the FBI said in a statement.Authorities believe the 31-year-old mother may have taken Medina Jr.
District Court in Los Angeles, according to officials."Medina Sr. was arrested last year for an alleged domestic violence incident and has a history of engaging in violent altercations in the presence of children, according to a Juvenile Dependency Petition filed in Los Angeles County," the FBI said in a statement.Medina Jr. was placed in the custody of DCFS following Medina Sr.'s arrest.
