A Long Beach man killed his brother and injured his sister-in-law at their Utah home on Thursday, April, 27 before dying in a shootout with police, authorities said., 66-year-old Jeffrey Roberts is seen on a Ring doorbell camera shooting into the North Ogden residence after a brief conversation at the front door with his brother Scott. He then shot and injured his sister-in-law, Jodi, who cannot be seen in the video.
Wearing a black hoodie, Roberts told his brother he “came by to see Mom” before opening fire around 7:00 p.m. The Weber County Attorney’s office said Roberts also set the house ablaze using road flares. Gunshots were heard by neighbors, who called 911. In another portion of the video, Roberts can be seen firing toward police cars before being fatally shot on the front porch. He was armed with a handgun, 23 fully loaded magazines, and a shotgun, authorities said., Scott and Jodi’s daughter Kelsey Weber described her father’s relationship with Roberts as “estranged.”
