California lulus undang-undang baharu lindungi data 'neural'
SAN FRANCISCO: Satu undang-undang baharu di California telah memperluaskan perlindungan privasi pengguna terhadap data gelombang otak yang dikumpul melalui implan atau peranti boleh pakai.
Pengarah Perubatan Yayasan NeuroRights, Sean Pauzauskie menyifatkan undang-undang California itu sebagai ‘kemenangan besar’ bagi pesakit yang menderita gangguan kesihatan mental serta pengguna yang ingin meningkatkan kualiti hidup mereka dengan teknologi baharu. California menjadi negeri kedua memperluaskan perlindungan data kepada gelombang otak, selepas Colorado melaksanakan undang-undang yang memerlukan langkah perlindungan privasi seumpamanya dilakukan terhadap cap jari.
Genser turut menyarankan agar undang-undang perlindungan data gelombang otak diwujudkan di peringkat kebangsaan.
