Four suspects were arrested and face various charges related to stealing products from multiple retailers throughout Southern California.
California Highway Patrol investigators arrested four individuals in connection to an organized retail theft ring in Southern California last week. The thieves stole Lego products that were sold from retail stores such as Target, police say. The value of the recovered Legos is approximately $300,000.Lego products have a near-universal appeal. While we may be partial to the motorsport-inspired products, there is a Lego set to satisfy just about every interest.
The warrant proved fruitful as hundreds of brand-new Lego sets were recovered. Investigators learned that the suspects would steal the products from various retail stores and then deliver them to separate fencing locations. These fencing operations would then sell these products for a profit. Three males and a female were arrested and face charges which include organized retail theft, grand theft, and conspiracy to commit a crime.
