The lingering storm system that has battered California for days continues to pose a flooding risk for southern parts of the state.

Lee Canyon Road and nearby Deer Creek Road remain closed Tuesday to everyone except residents, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation. There have been 307 mudslides that have damaged 35 buildings and slopes since Sunday, while five buildings have been tagged red, meaning no entry, and seven have been tagged yellow, meaning residents can only collect possessions, authorities said. There have been 275 fallen trees, 159 reports of potholes and emergency workers have cleared 875 catch basins and storm drains.
