The 61-year-old beloved doctor had decades of experience and had treated athletes and celebrities.
A California doctor was gunned down outside his Los Angeles clinic last week, according to his ex-wife Ahang Zarin.
61-year-old Hamid Mirshojae worked at Woodland Hills Medical Clinic and Urgent Care, where he treated patients experiencing addiction. The doctor had decades of experience in the field and had treated famous patients, including athletes and celebrities. “Hamid, the kids and I are in so much shock we miss you so bad ,” Zarin wrote via Facebook. “August 23rd 5:30pm they took Hamid away from us right in front of his practice. He was always helping people seeing tens and thousands of patients for decades we fought HARD to make life happen starting from nothing in the apartment and still the world is so cold .". An unidentified suspect reportedly fled the scene, leaving behind several bullet casings.
A Facebook user who claimed to have visited Mirshojae’s practice expressed her sadness over the senseless death. “I’ve been in shock all day after finding out my doctor of many years was killed last Friday,” she wrote. “Police are investigating but it’s unbelievable what’s happening in this valley. Woodland Hills is a great area and supposedly this is targeted killing. Decanted. RIP Dr. Hamid.”
