The East Kilbride club will fight to reach the showpiece final in London next month
Caledonia Gladiators coach Gareth Murray says his side are just going to enjoy their basketball when they take on seventh-placed Bristol Flyers in their regular season closer in England on Friday.
He’s okay with that, and will wait to see who finishes sixth, as they head into the quarter-final round. “It looks like we’re probably going to finish third, unless some miracles happen, but unlikely,” said Murray.“We’re just trying to build momentum, play some good basketball, heading into the play-offs, to see if we can get to the final.
Murray says progress is continually happening at the PlaySport club, which on Sunday culminated in a debut for Cael Sweeney, 17, for the final minute of the game.“We had the successful stint in Europe at the start of the season, and we’ve continued to play good basketball throughout the year.
