University of North Texas Center for Human Identification forensic analysts tested remains and say they belong to the missing New Braunfels student.
The body found last month inside a Corpus Christi city wastewater lift station is Caleb Harris ', according to forensic analysts with the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification. Corpus Christi police announced Wednesday that UNTCHI analysis showed the remains are 2.4 sextillion — that's a 1 followed by 21 zeros — times more likely to come from a biological child of Harris' parents than an unrelated member of the Caucasian population.
Due to the 'advanced' decomposition, the Nueces County Medical Examiner's Office was unable to determine the identity, manner of death or cause of death, and the remains were taken to UNTCHI for analysis alongside DNA from Harris' parents.
