'They’ve got a really talented good, young team.' Calais Campbell ended up on the losing side of his Jacksonville return Sunday, but he left impressed with the Jaguars.
Campbell started 48 games for the Jaguars and recorded 195 total tackles with 77 quarterback hits, 44 tackles for a loss and 31.5 sacks in his three years with the team.
Before the game, Campbell embraced outside linebacker Josh Allen during the captains meeting. It was only for a moment, but the two players hugged and exchanged words. During the first quarter, Campbell was shown on the jumbotron as he waved and received cheers from the home fans. “Yeah, it’d feel a lot better if we won the ballgame,” Campbell said. “You know, at the end of the day, I had a lot of success here and had a lot of fun here, but you know, I mean, I'm trying to stay in the moment. Stay present. This will always be part of my history but this team where we are right now, it's the Baltimore Ravens.”The last time Lamar Jackson played at TIAA Bank Field was in college for Louisville, when the Cardinals lost 31-27 to Mississippi State in the Gator Bowl.
