Mason McCoy's walk-off double sends Triple-A El Paso to a victory
Cal Mitchell and Eguy Rosario both hit their fourth homers of the season and Mason McCoy walked off Triple-A El Paso’s 7-6 win over visiting Sacramento on Friday with a double. The ninth-inning rally started with Tirso Ornelas singling for his third hit of the game. The double from McCoy was his only hit of the game. Rosario also doubled and drove in two runs, while the home run from Mitchell was his only hit of the game.
Missions 1, Wichita 0: C Brandon Valenzuela hit his second home run of the season, one of only three Missions hits. RHP Victor Lizarraga started the game with five shutout innings. LHP Javien Sandridge saved his third game with three strikeouts in the ninth. LOW SINGLE-A LAKE ELSINORE San Jose 4, Storm 0: 1B Romeo Sanabria went 2-for-4 with his 13th double and 3B Rosman Verdugo also doubled. RHP Eric Yost allowed three runs in 3⅔ innings in the loss.
Brewers 15, Padres 4 :CF Kashon Conliffe collected two hits and LF Spence Coffman , RF Colton Vincent and 3B Yendry Rojas each had a double. Note: High Single-A Fort Wayne was trailing 2-0 in the second inning when the game was suspended by rain. It will be completed as part of a Saturday doubleheader.
