Considered the two front-runners for the WNBA Rookie of the Year award, the league’s assist-per-game leader Clark has cemented herself as the favorite since the return from the Olympic break, leading the Fever to five wins in their last six games while setting records along the way.
The Fever, however, pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Sky 31-22 in the third quarter to take a 14-point lead heading into the final frame. The fourth quarter was more of the same as the Fever’s lead swelled to as many as 27 points in the victory. With three weeks left in the regular season, Friday’s win moves Indiana to 16-16 on the season and sixth place in the standings.
