TUGUEGARAO,Cagayan – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Region 2 said that equipment and maintenance teams have been prepositioned in each of the provinces of Cagayan Valley Region to address the possible effects of Typhoon Ambo.
Nueva Vizcaya First District Engineering Office also dispatched maintenance teams along Daang Maharlika in Bayombong ,Nueva Viscaya
In Quirino province, DPWH reported that as of 10 a.m., Saturday, the San Pedro Overflow Bridge along NRJ -Villa sur-San Pedro -Cabuaan- Ysmael -Disimungal road , San Pedro,Madella,Quirino was impassable to all types of vehicle. In Batanes province, Batanes Police Assistant Provincial Director for Administration Police Lieutenant Colonel Glenn Roy M. Gabor reported moderate weather condition as of 1:20 pm, May 16, in Basco; moderate rain in Mahatao, Ivana and Uyugan; cloudy and scattered rain in Sabtang and Itbayat.
