To make them productive in the midst of the pandemic, the provincial government of Cagayan launched
“MagSAKAbataan” program for the youth to encourage them to spend time in farming and in poultry raising.
In support of this program, the Food Sufficiency Program of Cagayan gave native chickens in the town of Rizal, particularly in the barangays of Zinundungan, Bural, San Juan, and Masi. Under the native chicken dispersal program, the provincial government will give each youth four native chickens. When the chickens are matured enough to lay eggs, the provincial government will pay them P1,600. When the chicks are grown up, a pair of a hen and a rooster will be taken by the provincial government and will be given to another youth.The people of Rizal expressed their gratitude to Governor Manuel N.
