CAF 'Ban' African Nation From Using Famous Stadium
CAF has reportedly banned an African powerhouse from using one of their iconic stadiums, forcing them to play outside the country for the next set of 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.In their first AFCON 2025 qualifier against Angola, Ghana lost at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi for the first time in 24 years when they were defeated 1-0.

Ghana's misery regarding the stadium has now been compounded, with CAF having reportedly decided that the venue is not suitable to host any international fixtures for the foreseeable future., the primary concern from the Patrice Motsepe-led body is the condition of the playing field. Uneven surface, poor drainage and inadequate grass cover has contributed to the venue failing to meet the required standards for hosting Category 3 international matches.
