Caesars makes a $3.7 billion cash offer for the British bookmaker and expects any deal to be completed in the second half of 2021
Caesars Entertainment Inc. said Monday that it is in advanced talks over the possible takeover of U.K. betting company William Hill PLC, as the global interest in the burgeoning U.S. sports-gambling market continues to grow.
The U.S. company said it has made a cash offer of 2.9 billion pounds, equivalent to $3.7 billion, for the company. The offer would be a 25% premium to Thursday’s closing share price, the day before William Hill said that it had received an approach.
