Cade Cunningham, Pistons crush Cavs in Game 6 blowout

Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons have forced a Game 7 in their playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Pistons lost their first two road games against the Cavs, so coming back on Friday and forcing a Game 7 means something. Cunningham is not going to let his team fall.

At least, he's doing what he can to make sure they succeed. Cunningham scored 21 points in the contest, and the Pistons dominated, especially in the second half of the game. Jalen Duren notched 15 points and 11 rebounds in the showdown, and Daniss Jenkins scored 15. Duncan Robinson, who didn't play in Game 5 due to a lower back injury, sunk four 3-pointers and scored 14 points, and Paul Reed had 17 points.

The Pistons went into the halftime with a lead and then kicked off the second half with a 14-4 run. Cleveland came back to bring the score closer towards the end, but the Pistons didn't let it happen. The Pistons are winning because they continue to play that physical style of basketball for which Detroit is known. Also, head coach JB Bickerstaff has enhanced this roster with strong roster depth, and that means something in the postseason.

Game 7 is set for Sunday evening, May 17, in Detroit at Little Caesars Arena. While the Pistons usually perform well at home, the Cavs took their Detroit game on Wednesday, so the team will have to be on point.
