Namun, Ramadan kali ini dengan dengan kehidupan normal baharu akibat penularan Covid-19 sangat menguji mereka dalam melaksanakan rukun Islam ketiga itu kerana kebanyakan negara diisytiharkan darurat ataupun melaksanakan kawalan pergerakan.
"Penularan wabak pandemik Covid-19 menghalang aktiviti berkumpul menyebabkan sambutan Ramadan tidak semeriah sebelumnya. Dia yang bekerja dalam sektor perhotelan berkata, kerinduan terhadap ibu bapa yang menetap di Cheras, Selangor jelas terasa apatah lagi tahun ini dia tidak dapat pulang menyambut Aidilfitri dengan keluarga.
"Kerajaan Ireland memperkenalkan Skim Pengangguran Covid-19 untuk membantu pekerja yang cuti tanpa gaji. "Paling dirasai, tiada lagi aktiviti kunjung mengunjungi rumah dan berbuka puasa yang menjadi kebiasaan orang Malaysia di negara ini," kata bapa kepada dua anak itu.
