Maxwell Football has named C.J. Stroud its national player of the week following his five-touchdown performance against Indiana.
The Inland Empire, California, native threw his five touchdowns to four different receivers. In the first quarter, he connected with Emeka Egbuka for a 6-yard score and Marvin Harrison Jr. for a 58-yard strike. In the third frame, Stroud tossed two touchdowns to Cade Stover from 1-yard and 12-yards out before throwing his final touchdown to Kamryn Babb in the fourth quarter from the 8-yard line.for his efforts against the Hoosiers.
This season, Stroud has completed 186 of 277 passes for 2,750 yards, 34 touchdowns and only four interceptions. The Ohio State quarterback is tied with North Carolina's Drake Maye for the NCAA lead in passing touchdowns, and he ranks No. 1 in passing efficiency , No. 5 in yards per completion , No. 6 in points responsible for and No. 20 in completion percentage .
