After receiving complaints about the use of edited song, BYU has decided to keep the Cougarettes dance team off the football field this weekend.
BYU AD Tom Holmoe said the award-winning dance team would be performing again at games in the future.
BYU’s dance team performed a routine with a song by Tear da Club Up Thugs and Three 6 Mafia, a university official said. “Found out the cougarettes can’t perform their timeout numbers this weekend cuz a couple people complained about the music choice,” he wrote on Twitter. “Way to ruin it for the majority”.
