Witnesses sprang into action to save the life of Lieutenant James Wagner after he was shot and crashed his car in Mifflintown on Saturday, June 17.

Among the people watching was fourteen-year-old Braydon Johnson, who found himself in an unimaginable situation.

Recalling the shocking turn of events, Johnson recounted, "We heard the big bang, and it was quiet for a second because I didn't know what happened." Sensing the urgency of the situation, he immediately rushed over to the scene of the accident to assess the scene. Johnson was met with the sight of his cousin using his shirt as a makeshift tourniquet and other neighbors offering assistance to the state trooper.He described the intense moments that followed, saying, "He gave it to the officer to cover the wound, then we had another girl. She was helping him out, giving him stuff.
