The numbers don't lie: Sunday was an afternoon of total domination for the Jaguars against the Colts. Here's what we learned.
"Well, the pass-rush was getting home all game, so he [Ryan] was gonna throw into some tight windows ... it just felt good, it's why you play, to help the team get big plays and I was glad I was able to get one," Lloyd told the Times-Union after the game.
With Lloyd recording a pick this week and rookie outside linebacker Travon Walker recording a pick last week, it was the first time in franchise history that two rookies recorded an INT through the first two weeks of a season. Lloyd has totaled three pass breakups through the first two weeks of the season. With three turnovers on Sunday, the Jaguars currently lead the NFL in turnover differential at +5. They've given the ball away just once, an interception in Week 1 against the Commanders.
Jacksonville's O-line pitched a shutout, surrendering zero sacks throughout the day, and allowing just three total pressures during the contest. According to Pro Football Focus, Jaguars right tackle Jawaan Taylor surrendered a triple-zero, zero pressures, hits or hurries throughout the day for a second-straight week.
"In this league consistency is key," Taylor told the Times-Union after the game."You know, going out every week and just trying to dominate your opponent is always our main goal. So we just want to keep going and keep staying consistent throughout the rest of the weeks.". Sunday appeared to be a building block for that.
