Traffic was heavy at the junction of Valley Road and Nottingham Road due to the crash, as seen from this CCTV imagewas blocked in both directions after a collision involving three vehicles on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 28. The incident occurred at the junction with Malton Road, near Aldi, and the road was closed by emergency services, who attended the scene.due to the rush-hour incident and traffic monitor INRIX reported traffic as "slow".
NCT buses diverted due to the incident, with Yellow line services which would usually use Nottingham Road heading down Haydn Road, Hucknall Road and Perry Road instead, to avoid the site of the crash. Police enforced a separate diversion for motorists along Malton Road, Westbury Road and Lortas Road, Nottingham Travelwise said.Travelwise also posted on X, formerly Twitter, asking motorists to avoid the area where possible.
Emergency services remain at the scene, Nottingham Travelwise said. They added: "Please continue to take extra care if you are travelling through the area.
