60 per cent of large businesses are saying they are unable to get the “digital skills in workers that they need”, says Deloitte Access Economics Partner John O’Mahoney.
The digital skills gap has led to an increase in demand as it is estimated to cost Australian businesses $9 million a day. Businesses are looking to various digital skills that they need, with Mr O’Mahoney saying companies are even looking for everyday business skills such as “using software that is relevant for people’s jobs.”
