Bollards, double-height curbs and trees have all been installed to combat the issue, but motorist still managed to access the verges. In a statement to the Watford Observer, a spokesperson for Metropolitan Bushey said:"We are very pleased to open up an additional parking area here at Metropolitan Bushey, for several reasons.
"The location for a children's playground didn't make sense either, so plans are afoot to develop a new playground on the other side of the site in view of Montys Bar & Kitchen, which will deal with a number of issues making it a safer and more easily monitored environment.
