Five suspects allegedly vandalised a bus and held students and their driver hostage in Pretoria North.

Ga-Rankuwa police are still looking for five people who allegedly robbed Tshwane University of Technology students of their cellphones and laptops, reportsPolice spokesperson Captain Mathews Nkoadi said a bus transporting the students on Friday was stoned by a group of people in Ga-Rankuwa.“The students were then apparently ordered to hand over their cellphones, cash and laptops before the perpetrators fled the scene on foot.

Meanwhile, Nkoadi also said two men alleged to have raped a 27-year-old woman in Soshanguve were behind bars. “A manhunt was launched on Sunday morning and two suspects aged between 26 and 27 were identified by the victim and apprehended,” Nkoadi said.For more news your way, download The Citizen’s app for
