A 59-year-old King County Metro coach driver was fatally stabbed during a physical altercation with a passenger in Seattle's University District Wednesday morning. Police responded to reports of a stabbing near the intersection of Northeast 41st Street and 15th Avenue Northeast. The victim, who sustained stab wounds to the chest, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have launched an investigation and are searching for the suspect.

Police are investigating after a bus driver was stabbed to death in Seattle ’s University District Wednesday morning.According to the Seattle Police Department , just before 3:00 a.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing near the intersection of Northeast 41st Street and 15th Avenue Northeast. This area is just a block west of the University of Washington’s Parrington Lawn.

The SPD and King County Sheriff’s deputies searched for the suspect using K-9s but were unsuccessful.The SPD’s Homicide and Crime Scene Investigation Unit is processing the scene.Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the SPD’s Violent Crime Tip Line at 206-233-5000.
