KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Securities has advised investors to ignore the closing value for the FBM KLCI of 1,573.31 on Thursday following a technical issue which halted trading on the exchange at 3.30pm.

In a one-line statement issued on Friday, it said that “we will provide further update of the index value”.Trading was halted at 3.30pm on Thursday following a technical issue and it was not resolved at 5pm, which was the closing time for the stock exchange.

The issue affected all counters, resulting in nobody being able to buy or sell securities after this time. The stock exchange operator added the matter was being investigated. At the same time, the exchange remained focused on ensuring there was minimal disruption to trading.
