Now he's behind bars

A bumbling thug who was part of an axe-wielding gang was snared after left his baseball cap at the scene of his crime.

As he tried to grab that weapon, he was struck again to the forehead and left shoulder with a hammer. While two of the men went upstairs, Robertson, who was armed with the axe, grabbed the victim and shoved him into the living room. During the victim's terrifying ordeal, Robertson told him to sit down and not move, before demanding money from him. He escaped with £40 in cash.

“What is equally as appalling is that this offence was committed while there was a small child in the house. We will not tolerate violence of this kind on the streets of East Lancashire, and we will use all the resources at our disposal to bring the perpetrators to justice – no matter how long it takes.”
