DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine were drafted by different teams at the All-Star draft between LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
DeRozan and LaVine are the NBA's best scoring duo, averaging 27.4 and 24.9 points per game, respectively. Both should bring plenty of buckets, and a handful of highlights, to the exhibition.
And for the Bulls, placing two All-Stars for the first time since 2016 is a marker of how far the franchise has come since having no representatives at the 2020 game in Chicago. DeRozan makes his fifth career appearance this season, LaVine his second in a row. "It's tremendous to see them both out there," Bulls executive vice president said of DeRozan and LaVine in a post-trade-deadline press conference."We're proud of DeMar and Zach making that All-Star."
