Building collapses in centre of Marseille

A BUILDING in the southern French port city of Marseille collapsed, police told AFP early today, though it was unclear whether there were any victims. The streets around the building, located in the central La Plaine district, were cordoned off and choked with dust, with many emergency personnel on site, according to an AFP photographer present.
